Hot off the letter-press…

Noah Beil is an Oakland photographer who combines what might almost be called a regional fascination with letter-press printing (the Bay Area is home to many such printers, including the subject of one of my previous blog entries, Peter Koch) and 21st-century digital photo printing. The results look handsome — and you can see something of how the process works (with photos) over at Beil’s website.    Extant Press’ first title is a collection of Beil’s own work, This Is Not My Sky (2009), in a signed edition of 50.
