I/Eye: On Photography

Boksburg dancers

Posted in Other Photographers by Sheila Newbery on September 20, 2009

From David Goldblatt’s In Boksburg (Gallery Press, 1982).  More of that early work,  juxtaposed with his more recent  large-format color photographs (post-apartheid) of the town can be seen at the website of the Michael Stevenson gallery (Cape Town). Goldblatt’s work was last seen here in Berkeley at his  BAM/PFA show Intersections (2007).
